1"x6"x6' Dry Redwood Tongue and Groove Ridge and Valley Downfall

(0.5625 in. x 5.375 in. with 5 in. coverage / reveal)

This is the downfall from a premium T&G Redwood run. There will be various blemished that dropped boards from this grade. Lots tends to be on the edges that aren't noticible once fit together. Covers up to 1000SqFt if you use every board, but expect some waste from the grade as well as the layout of your project.

Cedar Pattern Siding

Premium(STK) means it is a select tight knot grade

#3 will have various blems that kept it from the #2 like a small end check, a missing edge knot, or an unsanded area. With a little waste you can end up with just as nice of an end result at a fraction of the price.

Utility is the lowest grade the mill makes and has manufacturing blems, missing knots, checks, or wane. It is usually good for chopping into short lengths perfect for high end chicken coop or dog house builders. It is popular with lawn furniture builders as well. Nurseries use this grade for plant racks/tables often too.

Resawn one face and smooth on the other. Square and flush where the edges meet. This is a step down from the premium grade of siding. There will be more knots, occasional loose knots, occasional boards with some bark edge, and other characteristics not allowed in the higher grade.

1"x8" #3 Bright T&G Pine V Edge Face and Double V Back

(0.719 in. x 7 in. with 6.5 in. coverage/reveal)

This T&G pine is smooth with a V-Edge one side and smooth Double V (looks like 2 PCS of 4" boards) the other side. The number #3 is one step down from the standard #2 and with a little work and selection your project will come out looking close for a fraction of the cost. This product has a 1/2" tongue instead of the standard 3/8" so it is narrower than usual. These units are graded as bright so there should be very little if any blue stain.
